Gifts and Wills

We assist families throughout the North East who have children or young people affected by sight impairment, often alongside other disabilities or illnesses.

Our organisation is built on the values of safety, acceptance, and support. We offer children, young people, and their families opportunities to participate in accessible activities, events, and skills workshops in a non-judgmental setting.

The impact we make is possible thanks to the generosity of others. We rely solely on funding from grant-making trusts, fundraising efforts, and donations to continue our vital work.

It has always been deeply appreciated by North East Sight Matters (NESM) when individuals choose to support our work during times of loss, whether through a legacy or a collection at a funeral. Such acts of generosity play a crucial role in sustaining our mission and helping us continue to make a meaningful impact for families across the North East.

Gifts in Wills are invaluable in supporting NESM, helping us provide essential services for sight-impaired children, young people, and their families. Many people who use this service choose to leave a gift to NESM but of course, there is absolutely no expectation or requirement to do so.

We know it’s easy to put off writing a Will, but having one in place is incredibly important. It ensures your wishes are respected and that the people and causes you care about are remembered in the way you choose.

We provide a FREE online will writing service in partnership with Octopus Legacy. This accessible platform allows you to easily create and manage your will from the comfort of your home.

If you are considering including a gift in your will, no matter the size, we respectfully encourage you to support the work of NESM. Your generosity can help sustain and advance our mission for years to come.
